... see you next year ?

Partners4LifeScience is a brokerage event organised by the Institute of Life Science (ILS) at Swansea University’s School of Medicine, in conjunction with MediWales.

The purpose of the event is to provide structured networking opportunities to bring together industry, academics and the NHS to encourage and stimulate greater collaboration.

The ILS has a growing reputation in biomedical and healthcare research and innovation.  It houses over 30 professor-led research groups as well as a team focused on developing research collaborations and business opportunities.  Incubation space at the ILS is proving increasingly popular with current client organisations including Allerna Therapeutics Ltd, Boots Centre for Innovation, Calon Cardio-Technology Ltd, the London Women’s Clinic, Maimonidex UK Ltd and Seren Technology Ltd.  They are contributing greatly to the ever-expanding life science cluster in the region as well as local knowledge economy.

In recent months, the ILS has been granted nearly £30million to develop Phase Two.  Hot on the heels of Phase One, which delivered the £52million state-of-the-art facilities where this event will take place, Phase Two will provide a further 6,000 square metres of space for further research business development activity including facilities for clinical trials, medical imaging, business incubation and the £21million Centre for NanoHealth – a joint initiative between the Schools of Engineering and Medicine at Swansea University.

There is a lot going on at the ILS and Partners4LifeScience will provide an ideal opportunity to find out more.

The delegate partnering meetings will be organised into 15 minute appointments and seek to provide each delegate with an innovative opportunity to take part in more structured delegate networking.  Individual meeting agenda's for each delegate will be prepared by the organisers in advance of the event from the requests received via the event website.

The benefits of taking part in the 1-2-1 meetings are:

- To find new technologies or promote your own technologies
- To network and find new business partners to develop your ideas
- To meet companies and academics
- To promote your know-how and expertise

The 1-2-1 meetings will provide all event delegates with the opportunity to meet potential partners in a series of pre-arranged one-to-one appointments, where they can discuss various types of collaborations and the take up of new technologies / innovations.

Together we're better !
